A Working Environment

As I type, (at Dan's desk) Dan and the entire staff of Struck Design are bonding over Xbox games on 2 42" plasma screen TV's. I ask you, how is that work? It just doesn't seem right. At my work, we don't believe in bonding, we believe in the buying and selling of products. Oh, that and "building futures together".

I actually quite like my work. Here are some reasons why:
1- I work with a very charismatic person that I love eavesdropping on. I've heard some great conversations that seem to need the "F" word a lot. Imagine this, a dark haired shorter man with more hutspa than anyone you know. Born and raised in Brooklyn with the accent and attitude to boot. I love it. It's such a departure from the norm.

2- All the hot chocolate I can drink.

1.5 packets of Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate w/mini marshmallows
2 dashes of cinnamon
1 swirl of Vanilla Creamer
1 part good coffee (decaf if your're cool enough)
2-3 parts hot hot water

= the best morning beverage ever!

3- I do have my own office and I can close the door and make people think I'm doing important work and can't be interrupted while in actuality, I'm probably rating my songs on Itunes.

We might not have an X box with two 42" plasma screens. But who need that when you've got hot chocolate and Ira from Brooklyn?
