The 24th at Bear Lake

We had a great time up at Bear Lake with the my Mom, Alia, Mel and the Daines family for the 24th of July.  We started off to Bear Lake on the right note with Nick getting a "Big Daddy Size" Dad's Rootbeer and a package of chocolate twizzlers.  After about 30 minutes of driving I looked over to see Nick trying to drink his Big Daddy Rootbeer with his chocolate twizzler.  I asked him how it was working and he said no and kept sucking :)  When we stopped in Evansten to feed the teeny man, Nick plied the local wildlife (sea gulls) with those same twizzlers.  One actually picked a piece off the hood of the car to eat it.  All this excitement and we hadn't even reached our destination yet!

We spent our day at the lake napping, watching the kids play, and playing in the sand ourselves.  I dug a trench which I was pretty excited about and Nick buried the kids in the sand.  They loved it!  I've never seen Nick dirtier than I did that day.  He got in the lake and then actually rolled in the sand to turn himself into a Sand Monster!  Thanks very much to the Daines who let us stay at their family cabin.  We had a really great time!

It does look like you had a great time! It is great you took some time away from the day to day "stuff" and took a short trip.
I have to say...I have seen Nick that dirty before, several times in fact. At least you didn't have to clean him up!!
